Major Events during Cleveland's
Welfare Rights Movement
From the early 1960s to the late 1990s, many significant events occurred in the local welfare rights movement. The busiest time was the 1960s, when the movement was the largest and had the most grassroots power.
During the 1970s, the Cleveland Welfare Rights Organization compiled this list of important events and significant studies.
